Background

Starting as an instructor in economic history in 1931, and continuing until 1973, Wesley C. Bender served as a teacher of marketing and business administration at the University of Notre Dame who in 1943 became a full professor and head of the department. After 1947 he also served as a member of the Academic Council of the University.
