Boursetty, Jules de, Rome, Italy, to Archbishop Napoleon Joseph Perché, New Orleans, Louisiana, 1881 March 25
Scope and Contents
He did not wish to send the enclosed no enclosure letter without a few greetings from himself and their friends in Rome. He does not have any news but hopes to find some at Paris where he will remain for Easter. Perché knows of the divisions among the Catholics in France and the polemics raised by the attitude of the nuncio Archbishop Vladimir Czacki. Everyone at the Vatican is profoundly afflicted. Cardinal John Simeoni has asked him to send Perché his greetings in particular. VI-3-c - A.L.S. - French - 1p. - 12mo. - {4}
