Scope and Contents
A clipping describing the "Revel" of the Colonial Dames (of America) in the Madison Square Assembly and Concert Rooms. Perhaps the most notable of the dames was Miss Penn Gaskell Hall, of Philadelphia. Monsignor (Robert) Seton was a fine figure in his long cleric's coat and his small clothes, crimson hose and pumps with huge silver buckles. To Mrs. John Van Rensselaer, secretary of the Colonial Dames, the historical success of this revel was chiefly due.
