Scope and Contents
She thanks (Seton) for the letter, pictures and book. She is still inexperienced: she considers her life only began with her reception into the Church 3 years ago. Her director is Father Gordon Thompson, one of the holiest and most learned priests of the Archdiocese. Cardinal (Manning) thought a great deal of him. He was a young Anglican clergyman with a wife and 7 children when he became a Catholic. Miss Day and Halkett will live with some Franciscan sisters. Miss Day is an American; her scientist father lost his faith. Miss Lucas is still at St. Bartholomew's, she cannot decide to marry and leave it. (P.S.) Hugh (G. Halkett) is getting on well so far.
