Egan, Maurice F(rancis): New York, (New York) to Monsignor (Robert Seton: Jersey City Heights, New Jersey), 1887 March 29
Item
Identifier: CSET II-1-b
Scope and Contents
He is very much shocked to know that the paragraph gave Seton such pain. He trusted a young gentleman to make up the column, and Egan was surprised to see how it had been done. He has concluded that it will give the "Joke"too much importance to notice it at all. He thanks Seton for his contribution. He will make amends but in a more effective way than by calling attention to that absurd squib.
