He wishes Purcell a Happy New Year and hopes to see him during the next summer. He asks Purcell to help the people of St. Sebastian's, who have been good and pious since the first and who have done their duty in every way. Their church is locked on account of the difficulties of building a new church. He always thought the old site was the only one to build the new church on.
