The writer explains that the tableau is late and begs Purcell's pardon. He also asks Purcell to let him raise the price 1000 francs on the tableau. Purcell had spoken of desiring the price on a third tableau. Deschwanden asks that Purcell give him some idea on the size and the number of figures and he will see that it is done with great care and in the briefest time possible.
