She asks Purcell's help in a matter that is a great care to her. Bishop John McGill of Richmond was in Norfolk the day before to see her and she discovered from him that there was to be no further division of the residuum of Mr. James H. Behan's estate. She knows that she has no legal claim, but thought that the hospital would obtain something further from the estate. They have just completed an addition to the hospital, and there remains to be paid $8, 349. She believes Bishop McGill is disposed to make an exception in their favor.
