Barnabo acknowledges the receipt of the bank draft and the volume of German newspapers which Purcell sent with his letter of July 20. He presented them to the Holy Father without delay and the Pope sends to Purcell, the editors of the newspapers, and the donors of the money, his apostolic blessing.
