Moreau, C.S.C., Father Basil, Le Mans, France, to Archbishop John Baptist Purcell, of Cincinnati, Ohio, 1860 December 25
Item
Identifier: CACI II-5-a
Scope and Contents
The forseeing of a European revolution and the favor of a letter which Moreau had the honor to write to Purcell when Father Edward Sorin, C.S.C., thought to separate from the mother house carries Moreau back towards that letter. For a long time Moreau wanted to tell Purcell that since that epoch Sorin has not ceased to give him consolation. In case of a new difficulty, it would be a consolation to know that Purcell will receive some of their religious and their sisters. :: II-5-a A.L.S. 2pp. 12mo.
