He has learned that Edwards has letters relative to the corrspondence of Bishop Carrollton of Baltimore and priests in the West, Gibault, St. Pierre and De la Valiniere. The Illinois State Historical Library is printing a Collection of documents from 1778 to 1790 and he hopes Edwards' collection may have some material on the ecclesiastic situation.
