Scope and Contents
Father Andrew Morrissey, C.S.C. and he were glad to hear from Edwards. The weather Edwards is in ought to do him good. As a result of the Chapter Father Leo Heiser, C.S.C. goes to Oregon, Father Thomas Corbett, C.S.C. goes to Cincinnati, Father James Rogers, C.S.C. returns to Notre Dame, Father Walter Lavin, C.S.C. replaces Heiser in Sorin Hall coming from New Orleans. The Olivers are touring in the East; he heard from Mrs. Grace S. Fish. Father Louis L'Etourneau is quite feeble; Brother Norbert is dying of cancer of the stomach; Father William Moloney, C.S.C. improved slowly; Brother Raffael was operated on in Chicago. Father John Zahm, C.S.C. received no obedience. Edwards probably heard of Bishop Peter Hurth's resignation which has been accepted by Rome; no successor has been appointed. :: XI-2-k A.L.S. 4pp.
