Frenguelli, Pasquali, Rome, Italy to James F. Edwards, Notre Dame, Indiana, 1908 May 08
Scope and Contents
He announces the shipping of the portraits of Leo XIII, Pius XI, Cardinal Satolli, P. Fleming, Marucchi and Zardetti. All of them were executed from photograph with the exception of that of Fleming who posed only once. He made the portrait of Leo XIII in the typical Italian style of the 15th century, which perhaps is not well known in America. He asks for something more than the price agreed on. He has the S. Corpora which belonged to Cardinal Ledochowski, and he is willing to sell them if Edwards is interested. :: XI-2-h A.L.S. (Italian) 3pp.
