Father Provincial left again last week for Galveston to meet Bishop Nicholas A. Gallagher and have an understanding with him concerning the division of St. Mary's Parish, Austin, Texas where the Paulists intend to settle. He is going to New York and take a steamer to New Orleans. A host of friends send regards to Edwards. Father David O'Leary C.S.C. is president in Watertown, Wisconsin and Father ThomasHennessy, C.S.C. is vice-president. Father Martin J. Regan C.S.C. is in the sanitarium at Milwaukee and the doctors say he has diabetes. Father William S. Moloney, C.S.C. is waiting for another Harrington. Father Matthew Schumacker, C.S.C. came back from Washington. Fathers John B. Scheier C.S.C. and Alexander Kirsch C.S.C. with Father Munch made the grand tour to Oregon, San Francisco, Yellow Stone Park, New Orleans. The heat is more bearable. :: XI-2-j A.L.S. 2pp.
