Burns, C.S.C., James A., Brookland, D.C. to James F. Edwards, Notre Dame, Indiana, 1907 February 21
Scope and Contents
He hopes Edwards is still at the great work to which he has devoted so many yearscollecting historical material, so as to make Notre Dame the Catholic Historical center of America. It is only in the future Edwards' work will be appreciated properly. The attitude of trying to keep up with the growth of the country will pass as it has in the East and what was commonplace or worthless will be regarded as veritable historic treasures. He wants some information from original sources about Father Gabriel Richard's educational work and views. Martin I. J. Griffin has printed some about him. :: XI-2-j A.L.S. 2pp.
