Scope and Contents

He has a silver cross which was found in an Indian burying ground near where the Aboite River enters Little River, adjoining the lot of a brick residence of Chief Raccoon. There are rumors that a massacre of Jesuit Priests occurred near this place. The cross is for sale to the Museum of the University. A rough sketch of the cross may be found on the back of the letter.
