McQuaid, Bishop Bernard J., Rochester, New York to James F. Edwards, Notre Dame, Indiana, 1903 October 18
Scope and Contents
He has not forgotten Edwards request for the menu of St. Bernard's Seminary for a week, but he will wait until they settle down as it might be thought they were doing their best to make a good impression on new students. He is glad to learn that the increased cost has not diminished greatly the attendance at Notre Dame University. His experience at Seton Hall was the more they charged, the larger was the attendance, provided they gave values for the money. At St. Bernard's they are giving board and tuition worth $400 for $800 per annum. They now have 26 dioceses represented in the seminary. :: XI-2-f A.L.S. 4pp.
