For over five months he has been extremely ill with heart disease. Despite the doctors he is still alive but confind to his room. He has two excellent curates who relieve him of all responsibility. The bishop made him permanent pastor and dean of the diocese. He would like to celebrate the golden jubilee of his ordination. He was ordained at Notre Dame Nov. 26, 1854.
