Scope and Contents
Some time ago a Mrs. F. B. Place told him of her desire to send her son to a Catholic college. He promised if she should run short $50 in her boy's tuition he would pay it. He supposed that his wife knew her but found out that she does not. Mrs. Place wrote from Philadelphia asking for $120 saying that she had been robbed. He did not send her the money on the advice of his wife and Father Mackin. She mentioned Father Schulte of Iowa City as a friend of hers. Connor asks Edwards to check up on her. :: XI-2-b A.L.S. 2pp.
