He wishes Edwards would send him the full military record and birth-place of General William A. Olmstead. Mulholland sees that Olmstead has been elected commander of the Notre Dame (G.A.R. Grand Army of the Republic) Post. He bought a painting by the great Polish artist Malczewski, "Death of an Exile in Siberia"; it is valued at $2000. If Edwards can use it for the University, he will sell it.
