He will proceed with the Monitor and Merrimac just as soon as the canvas is dry enough to paint on. He will mail Edwards the maps of the three days Battle of Gettysburg. The position of the Irish Brigade is marked by an X. These maps are very scarce. He also encloses an autograph letter of General Winfield Scott Hancock who commanded the division to which the Irish Brigade was attached. He will try to organize an Irish Brigade Corner at Notre Dame, :: XI-1-o A.L.S. 2pp.
