Mulholland, St. Clair A., Philadelphis, Pennsylvania to James F. Edwards, Notre Dame, Indiana, 1897 October 20
Scope and Contents
He wants about 20 copies of the "Ave Maria" that contained the account of the Notre Dame, G.A.R. Post. He has procured a photograph of the Irish Brigade Monument at Gettysburg and has ordered the canvas for the picture, but he is still in favor of painting the fight of the Monitor and the Merrimac. Mrs. General Francis Meagher has broken up housekeeping and is making a tour of Europe, but he will go for her just as soon as she returns. The Post of Notre Dame has certainly made a great sensation and is calculated to do good. P.S. He intended calling up Edwards' mother's claim but feels that it would be better to wait until they get all the evidence. :: XI-1-o A.L.S. 4pp.
