King, Mrs. Annie F., St. Louis, Missouri to James F. Edwards, Notre Dame, Indiana, 1897 April 13
Scope and Contents
Edwards will never realize how fully she appreciates his generous heart. The lovely care and attention Edwards has bestowed upon her little darling, W. Barret Frost, has been so unexpected that it has almost taken her breath away. He mentions that her boy may go abroad this summer. She is not allowed to see him here so it does not matter. Every means will be resorted to win him away from her. Mrs. Hirschberg knows full well that in order to gain her point she must separate the child from her entirely. She asks Edwards to use his influence with the child so that he will not forget them. The child has always been called Barret. The Scholastic lists him as W. Frost. His father Mr. Frost cares nothing for his child; his is ruled by his sister Mrs. Hirschberg. :: XI-1-o A.L.S. 8pp.
