She was delighted to receive Edwards' letter. The little Church near there is attended by the Franciscan Fathers and has all the privileges for the devotion established by St. Francis of Assisi. Mass was said Aug. 2 for Rebecca Carroll. The priest in charge of the Mission gave her a fourleaf clover and she construed it into a message from St. Francis to join the Third Order.
