When Carrier came to St. Laurent 18 years ago, he found a dilapidated copy of the map of Notre Dame which he made in 1866. This map was published in a new "Guide to Notre Dame" edited by Carrier. Carrier asks Edwards to find out who was the author of the first edition of that Guide, whether it was a Miss Adams, a sister of Mrs. Flora S. Guthrie, now Sister Ignatius C.S.C. The author of the History of Notre Dame for the Golden Jubilee ought to have copies of the Guide and the map. Carrier will send the map if there are none at Notre Dame. :: XI-1-m A.L.S. 2pp.
