Elliott, Richard R., Detroit, Michigan to James F. Edwards, Notre Dame, Indiana, 1893 December 21
Item — Box: CEDW 6, Folder: 16
Identifier: CEDW XI-1-k
Scope and Contents
The passing of the venerable founder of Notred Dame Father Edward Sorin, C.S.C. was suggestive; he went to his reward amid surroundings such as have been vouchsafed to none of his contemporaries. Catholics of America have but a hazy idea of what an institution Notre Dame is. Elliott suggests that Notre Dame prepare a complete description of the college with a catalogue of its relics, art treasures, manuscripts, etc. Such a work should be extensively circulated. :: XI-1-k A.L.S. 2pp.
