Ascension, Mother M., Notre Dame, Indiana to James F. Edwards, Chicago, Illinois, 1893 July 10

 Item — Box: CEDW 6, Folder: 08
Identifier: CEDW XI-1-k

Scope and Contents

Father does not advise her to write to Archbishop Riordan or Mgr. Francesco Satolli. The latter will no doubt bring the matter through. The interference and opposition of Mother Augusta of the Sisters of Holy Cross may cause great delay. When Mother Ascension considers the removal of Bishop Joseph Dwenger of Fort Wayne she cannot but feel that God is acting. The prolongation of Father Thomas Walsh's life is but a question of months. :: XI-1-k A.L.S. 2pp.
