Delbaer, Father Henry L., L'Erable, Illinois, to James Farnham Edwards, Notre Dame, Indiana, 1890 June 26
Scope and Contents
Delbaer will send a box of books; that small donation is an addition to the library he sent about 1½ years ago. Delbaer intends to go to the old country since the death of Bishop Caspar Henry Borgess in Kalamazoo. Delbaer thanks Edwards for the hospitality he enjoyed at the college during the persecution he sustained at the hands of B.B. in consequence of his deposition of an oath in the first week of May 1873 followed exactly 17 years after by a "depositio cadaveris" in the grave of Father Isadore Anthony Lebel which he desecrated so horribly 18 years ago. :: XI-1-h A.L.S. 1p. 4to.
