He has seen in the "Ave Maria" that contributions to the College library would be welcome. He sends a catalogue of the larger portion of his library, many scarce precious old volumes of 1st class Catholic writers. He has several times enjoyed the hospitality of Notre Dame, especially in the passion-week of 1874, when he was treated the way Sorin knows by ex-Bishop Caspar H. Borgess of Detroit.
