Euphrasie, Sister, Vincennes, Indiana, to James F. Edwards, Notre Dame, Indiana, 1885 November 11

 Item — Box: CEDW 2, Folder: 07
Identifier: CEDW XI-1-c

Scope and Contents

The mitre she sent of Bishop Maurice de St. Palais was made by his sister-in-law. The pastor H. Peythieu of the old Cathedral at Vincennes always refused to give a souvenir of Bishop Simon Brute, but Sister Euphrasie knew of the Bishop's mitre case in an out of the way cupboard and one day she took it from the church. She asks that Edwards not let the pastor of Vincennes know of her trick. :: XI-1-c A.L.S. 4pp. 12mo.
