Delafosse, Father A.N. Vicar general, Rennes, France, to James F. Edwards, Notre Dame, Indiana, 1885 September 6
Scope and Contents
His Archbishop spoke to him of Edwards' request as he knew that Bishop Celestine De la Hailandiere had appointed Delafosse to execute his will. Delafosse gave most of the Bishop's insignia to the Bishop's relatives. He kept one of his albs for himself. Edwards had better write to Father E. Audran, Jeffersonville, Indiana, who is a nephew of the Bishop and has several of his vestments. If Audran is not willing, Delafosse will send Edwards the alb. It is now seventeen years since Delafosse left America. :: XI-1-c A.L.S. 3pp. 12mo.
