Edwards' telegram bringing the sad tidings of Father Richard Shortis' C.S.C. death arrived. She notified the Sisters on 6th Street. She sent a box with some souvenirs of St. Patrick to Shortis enclosing one for Sister Ildefonsis, C.S.C. and asks Edwards to look it up.
