Morris, Willie William G., Vicksburg, Mississippi, to James F. Edwards, Notre Dame, Indiana, 1880 May 12

 Item — Box: CEDW 1, Folder: 18
Identifier: CEDW XI-1-b

Scope and Contents

His father told him that he was going to try to sell their place in Jackson and put the children to school. Morris asks Edwards and Father Corby to write to his father while he is disposed to sell. The place cost $10,000, is burdened with taxes; the present occupants pay no rent. Morris thinks it should be sold, though the sacrifice be great, so that they could go to school. His father will not sell until he is made fully aware of the importance of educating the children. :: XI-1-b A.L.S. 1p. 8vo.
