Edwards is the only regular correspondent he has at Notre Dame. He receives the Scholastic every week and it affords him much pleasure. He worked as an overseer of the Tailor department of the Penitentiary, but quit because it was so confining. He gets most of his reading matter from Father Picherett Henry Picheret.
