Onahan, William J., Chicago, Illinois, to, 1890 August 4
Scope and Contents
In order that understanding may be reached on the report to be submitted to the General Committee, Onahan suggests an exchange of views on several questions -——it being settled that the Congress will be a Catholic Congress of the United States including members of the hierarchy and clergy as well as laymen, to be held in Chicago in 1893. Onahan lists the questions for discussion. An answer, as well as additional observation and suggestions, is requested. It is suggested that an early meeting of the sub-committee be held in Chicago to prepare the report. The sub-committee on Organization is: William J. Onahan, Chicago; H. J. Spaunhorst, St. Louis; M. W. O'Brien, Detroit; James H. Dormer, Buffalo; and Bishop John Ireland of St. Paul. :: IX-1-c A.D.S. 2pp. 4to
