Onahan's letter was received. The American Catholic Congress was the grandest affair in the country for Catholicity. Onahan and his friends who started the idea and succeeded so well must keep it up every year. Their enemies will see that Catholics are a power when united, and that lay Catholics are not priest ridden, but act of their own accord. He hopes to see Onahan at the consecration of the new bishops on Dec. 21. :: IX-1-a A.L.S. 1p. 8vo.
