This is the final book manuscript written by Willis D. Nutting. Estimated to have been written around 1971, it was never published (Michael J. Crowe, Programma Newsletter, Vol. 1, No. 1, January 1977, p. 19). In June 1978, a program entitled "My Neighbor and Myself" inspired by this unpublished work was held on the University of Notre Dame campus. The program consisted of a series of seminars, "each exploring the nature of our Christian obligation to our fellow human beings" (Programma Newsletter, Vol. 2, No. 1, December 1977, p. 20).
