Shipley, Orby, Lyme Regis, England, to Father Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C., Notre Dame, Indiana, 1891 September 14

 Item — Box: CHUD 16
Identifier: CHUD X-3-m

Scope and Contents

Some weeks ago Shipley enclosed in a letter to Hudson one to William D. Kelly and one to Maurice Francis Egan. He has had no reply to any of the three. As he has begun active work on the matter of the Anthology, he ventures to trouble Hudson again. In his letters to Kelly and Egan Shipley begged to confirm the permission which Hudson afforded him of using their verses in his collection. The enclosures he sends will be distributed to the clergy in England and amongst Protestants. Does Hudson think the list worthy of being printed in the Ave Maria? Shipley has some verse he would be willing to send for the Ave Maria. :: X-3-m A.L.S. 6pp. 12mo.
