O'Neill, C.S.C., Father Arthur B., Cote des Neiges, Quebec, to Father Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C., Notre Dame, Indiana, 1890 May 22
Item — Box: CHUD 14
Identifier: CHUD X-3-k
Scope and Contents
O'Neill sent an article on the Death and Assumption of Mary. He understands Hudson's disinclination to mention O'Neill's application to Father-General Edward Sorin, C.S.C.. He found Hudson's advice to write to Sorin in French "rich". When addressing the community at St. Laurent College, Sorin used English. At Notre Dame he used the same language and then called on Father John A. Zahm, C.S.C. for an English speech. Sorin would suspect latent irony if O'Neill wrote to him in French. :: X-3-k A.L.S. 2pp. 12mo.
