Ten Broeck, R.S.H., Sister Elizabeth, Torresdale, Pennsylvania, to Father Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C., Notre Dame, Indiana, 1890 May 18

 Item — Box: CHUD 14
Identifier: CHUD X-3-k

Scope and Contents

Like the "Nun of Kenmare" Sister Mary Clare Cusack, Sister ought to apologize for giving Hudson an impression far from her sincere intention, when she forwarded that book. Ten Broeck asks that "Discovery" not be noticed unless something kind can be said of it. She had not read it, but was influenced by the praises of Archbishop Ryan and Messrs. George D. Wolfe of the Philadelphia Standard and Abell of the Baltimore Sun. The former superior at Eden Hall, Mother A. McNally died and also Judge A. J. Parker of Albany, her father's brother-in-law. She criticizes an evaluation of Maurice Francis Egan in the Catholic Review. She had a chat with Father Francis Brady in which he admits that Father Peter Finlay wrote what he is accused of. :: X-3-k A.L.S. 6pp. 12mo.
