Ten Broeck, R.S.H., Sister Elizabeth, Torresdale, Pennsylvania, to Father Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C., Notre Dame, Indiana, 1890 May 14

 Item — Box: CHUD 14
Identifier: CHUD X-3-k

Scope and Contents

She was aware Mr. T.'s sister would not be pleased if the volume were not highly extolled. Sister asked Hudson not to print, if he could not manage adroitly to draw something kind in consideration of the declared charitable object. She saw a reprint of Maurice Francis Egan's article in the "Lecoulleux Leader". It is denied by the Jesuits that Father Peter Finlay composed the Lyceum censure of convents. As the Fathers Finlay have two sisters in the Religious of the Sacred Heart, it is strange that the editor accepted that contribution. Their 25 Mother Vicars are in General Council at Paris and Sister is sure they will spare no effort to please the prelates. She believes that "Old Nick" is angry at the new convent. :: X-3-k A.L.S. 4pp. 16mo.
