Mannix, Mary E., San Diego, California, to Father Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C., Notre Dame, Indiana, 1890 May 12

 Item — Box: CHUD 14
Identifier: CHUD X-3-k

Scope and Contents

Mannix received a letter from the Superior of the Sisters of Notre Dame convent in Cincinnati stating they were not surprised to learn that Mannix wrote "Two Schools". They thought the style of "Jeanie Reilly" resembled Mannix's style of writing. She has plunged into the study of German and offers to send a translation she made of a German poem. The Poor Souls Advocate has no well defined place. If Hudson should decide to publish either "Two Schools" or "Jeanie Reilly" in book form, Mannix is confident that the Sisters of Notre Dame would buy a good many copies. :: X-3-k A.L.S. 6pp. 16mo.
