Finlay, Father Peter, Dublin, Ireland, to Father Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C., Notre Dame, Indiana, 1890 May 3
Item — Box: CHUD 14
Identifier: CHUD X-3-k
Scope and Contents
Like Hudson, Finlay regretted William P. Coyne's decision to seek a fortune in the United States. He thinks Coyne has much in common with Maurice Francis Egan. The literary sensation over here is W. O'Brien's "When We Were Boys". There is a feeling amongst the clergy against the way O'Brien treats of religion, but as yet it has not been put into print. Finlay asks to be remembered to Father Provincial and Father Rector. :: X-3-k A.L.S. 4pp. 16mo.
