"The Dream of Michael Angelo", written by S. G. Sneed, appeared in the Ave Maria. It was originally published in the Texas Review. Sneed, an experienced journalist, and a benefactor of the Sisters of Holy Cross in Austin, called on the Sisters Sunday and charged that the article had been published after being mutilated and was published without credit to him, with Hudson's full knowledge. They write Hudson to explain the situation that he might take action to exonerate Notre Dame and the Ave Maria.
