Brother Ferdinand Patrick Neeson C.S.C. requested she send the accompanying article written by her brother Andrew A. Egan, a native of Baltimore and a graduate of Loyola College. Joining the Confederate Army at the beginning of the Civil War, Egan was seriously wounded in the battle of Manassas.
