The splendid bell sent from Baltimore for Father Joseph Damien DeVeuster's new church at Kalawao landed two weeks ago. Wendelin also received Hudson's letter of April 6. Here from the grave of DeVeuster, Wendelin acknowledges Hudson's kindness to DeVeuster. Wendelin also thanks the contributors to whose generosity the present gift is due.
