Dorsey, Ella Lorraine, Washington, District of Columbia, to Father Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C., Notre Dame, Indiana, 1886 December 3
Scope and Contents
Dorsey called on Frank Murphy, the son and successor of John Murphy Company in Baltimore about the new edition. After showing him the orders they had and Hudson's offer of free advertising, Murphy thought the edition would be a success. She asks Hudson to send a statement of how many sets the Ave Maria can sell. Details concerning each edition are given. As soon as Murphy gets Hudson's statement, he will draw up the terms under which the six books will be printed. The copyrights would be vested in Mrs. Anna Hanson Dorsey and Notre Dame. Murphy's standing in the Baltimore business community is good. :: X-3-c A.L.S. 6pp. 12mo.
