Scope and Contents

Fearnley has written to the Superior of St. Mary's Seminary, Baltimore requesting an explanation for the delay in sending a letter of recommendation. Because of his acting independently with the Sulpicians, he thinks he will have trouble in getting the recommendation. He realizes Bishop John L. Spalding cannot pursue the matter without the letter. Bishop John Moore is away, but the Rector of the Cathedral at St. Augustine, Father Edward Pace, who has known him for sometime has offered to testify to his character. :: X-3-c A.L.S. 3pp. 12mo.
