Carrier requests Hudson ask Father-General give Carrier certain religious faculties. He suggests improvement in the Ave Maria. Father Hely, writer of French poems published in the Scholastic visited St. Laurent College. In conversation with him, Hely called Hudson the right man in the right place as editor of the Ave Maria, but said that at Notre Dame there was a want of "esprit de corps" and family union.
