Cooke thanks Hudson for his letter of sympathy on the death of her husband. Her son, Joseph Cooke, left Chicago shortly after his father's death and remains with her oldest son on the ranch in Colorado. She sends a circular on a medicine that contains iron for Hudson's examination. It is a preparation developed by Father F. Boudereaux, S.J., former professor of chemistry at St. Louis University.
